Poem-a-Day: My Departed Husband
My Departed Husband
My love.
He died eight years
Ago today, a man
Of action, charming, friend of all.
My husband Jules, thirty years my anchor.
Life goes on, it's harder, duller.
No wonder March is sad.
I remember
My love.

This one brought a sigh and a tear. I can't imagine being widowed after such a blessed long marriage. My husband is 12 years younger than I, but keeps referring to his dying first. I don't think it is going to be that way for us.
Thank you for sharing this tender poem.
